This game is excellent! I'll always be a sucker for pixel art, the illustrations really helped with the atmosphere and understanding of setting. The sound design and puzzles were super fun! I can see all the work that went into this, great job!!
Really thought out, and the multiple endings makes it fun to replay! The sounds aid the visuals really well, and you created a great ambience. I actually enjoyed the mix of negative space with the images, but do agree with other comments that the font change could add to the overall immersion. Awesome job!!
I think having this game all take place in a single location helped a lot (time-wise) the story feels complete, and all of the elements do a good job at creating the environment. the pixel-y style fits the game very well with the limited adventure-in-a-castle, and i think extending this to the font would add a bit to the overall look (the current font is very smooth/detailed).
there may be a way to use arrows as directions? not sure how that would work in twine. i also don’t think it’s needed, just a random thought.
the end screens make the game feel more complete & polished. (i also just love the artwork for them. :) )
The game is great, the artwork and sound effects create a good setting. It kept me engaged going into different rooms trying to figure out what's next.
I really love this game so much. The art and sounds were considered so carefully and really add to the narrative and environment. Not having a background track for music honestly worked extremely well for the mood you were trying to set up (it definitely made me feel a little paranoid). I think my only critique might be that the clock chime effect was a little bit loud even when I adjusted my volume? Honestly that could just entirely be me and is super duper nitpicky. Overall you did an amazing job, super engaging and fun! :)
Love the pixel illustration giving a beautiful setting to the opening. The inventory variable to the stories is very playful, checking the locations/objects back and forth, hidden paranoia, etc.
